Walks dogs actually need
Very few dogs want a slow, restricted “heel” walk while their person is distracted. Walking is enrichment. Hunters need to hunt, chasers need to chase, retrievers need to retrieve—and all dogs need to sniff.
What we cover
Why walks matter, what dogs get from them, why they pull, breed-specific needs, equipment, getting attention, calm starts, recognising triggers, reinforcing “leave it,” and using long leashes. You’ll also learn to tell excitement from fear.
This is not a session to teach formal heel walking. We do not teach that. We do not use haltis or other aversive equipment.
